If you are using IM in the cafe, at work or in other public places, you should remove the check mark in the "remember ID & password" and "sign in automatically." After that, press the "sign-ins." If the ID and password is correct, then you will go to the main page of Yahoo Messenger. There is the list of friends that you have added.
